Event on the 6th April at a leading hotel in our City. Occasion is first birthday girl.  Event manager convinced the customer to accept gold and red color balloons , reason he only had gold and red LED lights to make a banner. Note: Its not the customer's choice but the event manager's!!

What has the event manager promised the customer? 4 balloon poles , one arch and 6 sets of Helium bouquets for Rs10000. He said he had great difficulty convincing the customer to accept this budget stating he is going to use imported balloons and the customer expected more number of balloons for this price.

We on our part suggested as shown in the image 

This is how the event manager responded: " dont want all those accents, foil balloons... just make simple columns with only round balloons . Customer doesnt know anything about foil balloons or how incomplete the columns will look without foil balloons... customer expects 'more quantity'  than 'quality' and so just fill more balloons and match it with the budget!" Onceagain I could see my logic was not what he wanted to hear. We at bubbly balloons refused to accept the job as we do not do substandard balloon decoration jobs!   

Onceagain , we wonder why people flock to such knucklehead event managers?

KNOW YOUR EVENT MANAGER: you will find our experience interesting:

Bubbly Balloons to customer: " Madam, you have called us regarding your child's birthday party". Customer: " Oh, yes, but i dont have time, you see! Please contact my event manager at 989... "

We went on to call the event organizer. He wanted to know what is the cost for ( decorating with) 200 balloons? we responded by saying that we charge as ‘per design’ basis and not as ‘per balloon’ basis , as we usually use different types, shapes , sizes of balloons and hence difficult to charge ‘per balloon’ basis. To this he said he wanted 3 balloons each on each table floating on ‘Nitrogen Gas’ . We corrected him by responding that balloons will not float with nitrogen gas. To this he said OK, its Hydrogen gas. Once again we corrected him by saying Hydrogen is an explosive , flammable and dangerous gas and one should only use helium to make the balloons float. He rudely responded ‘ its ok, it doent matter what gas you use, I want them to float’ 

We further explained that its necessary for a decorator to know what is the occasion , if it’s a birthday then whether it’s a first birthday or what is the age, whether it’s a boy or a girl , whether the customer has a theme , any color preference etc. I could see my logic was not what he wanted to hear. 

We fail to understand why people flock to such knucklehead event organizers who do not know anything about balloons.

Sometime back we met another event manager. He wanted a balloon arch in front of a restaurant . He asked us how many balloons would be there in an arch and we responded by saying around 250 balloons. While we were chatting, the customer walked in and asked the same question and to this the event organizer, believe us, responded by saying the balloon arch would have about 1000 to 1500 balloons. We made a quick exit and never returned!

We came to know of many fake balloon artists approaching customers with our downloaded face book photos claiming them to be theirs. 

In a recent incident, a balloon decorator has bagged a contract for balloon decoration with Jungle safari theme birthday party, showing our decoration image. This decorator neither had the balloons for the theme nor the knowledge to create the decor. He ended up doing a shabby work.   

We came to know about this incident , recently , when the customer who happened to visit our Facebook page found the same photo shown by the decorator. After coming to know that it was done by us, she  felt she was cheated by this fake decorator. She also regretted that she had paid more for the job compared to our prices.

Recently bubbly Balloons was asked by an event coordinator to visit a venue for a balloon decoration job. This event manager wanted a balloon arch at the entrance and wanted to know how many balloons would be there in a regular balloon arch of about 7 feet high. We explained that there would be approximately about 250 pieces of 11" Round balloons.  At that moment the customer walked in and he was asking the event manager to explain how big  would be the arch and with how many balloons would be in it. I got the shock of my life when the event manager answered ' at least 1500 balloons in an 7 feet balloon arch'.  We did not want to be a party to this event manager's unconvincing lie and so we did not take up this job.

Bubbly balloons was recently approached by another balloon decorator for Helium balloon bouquet requirement of his customer in the City's leading star category hotel. Since this prestigious hotel ' The Residency' does not allow unscrupulous balloon artists to walk in with their dangerous Hydrogen cylinders ( fllammable & explosive) into their premises, this decorator had no choice but to approach us. This reputed hotel and also many others know well that we at bubbly balloons, being a private limited corporate company strictly  follow all rules when it comes to decoration jobs.We at bubbly balloons adopt the best practices and we work within the law. We use only Helium gas to make the balloons float. 

This decorator still continues to fill the dangerous Hydrogen gas to make balloons float , instead of the safest Helium gas, despite knowing well how dangerous it is. The theme was Jungle Safari birthday party. The decorator who approached us told us to use Green, Orange and Yellow balloons for the Helium bouquet and had chosen plain balloons instead of the Jungle animal printed balloons , and once again only to make more money. Furthermore this decorator asked us to use plain thread instead of matching ribbons for the helium balloons, again to cut costs, but we refused to compromise.  

What would have happened had the customer approached us directly? We, as always, apart from using the safest Helium gas,  would have decorated with Jungle animal  printed balloons instead of the plain balloons to add elegance. We would have also added 12" balloons instead of the small 10" balloons to increase the floating time of balloons, apart from using  matching ribbons, more number of balloons in the bouquet, also adding value to the bouquets by decorating its bases, looked into color and design coordination .... and  the list is endless.

How to inflate balloons?

Some people have the natural  knack of blowing up balloons. Many others have difficulty.

Inflate balloons with a balloon pump. Keep balloons away from eyes, face and do not inflate by mouth since the burst of a balloon can cause injury.We  would  suggest our  balloons pumps to inflate balloons.

You may notice the technical details like the Diameter  in centimeters or inches , printed on balloon packs. That indicates the maximum limit. Never fully inflate your balloons.  After inflating 100%, just let a little of air out before you tie a balloon, so that they remain longer; otherwise they may burst unexpectedly.

Never leave the balloons on the floor where there are dust particles that might prick the balloon and burst it . Any balloon, if over-inflated, will burst. The odd balloon will still burst as you blow it up, but even the professional can't avoid this. Bubbly's balloons are made of 100% Rubber Latex, and hence they retain air for a much longer period.

A correctly inflated balloon is shaped like a water drop - not a light bulb (over-inflated) and not round (under-inflated).  Please see the images below:

How to inflate heart balloons?

Hearts, because of it's shape has a weak point( thinner part) in the middle of the 2 curves. In oder to get the most shape out of the heart balloons we always try to over-inflate. Please do not attempt to do it.

How to inflate figure balloons or the Animal Shaped Balloons?

Figure balloons require  some special skills or  technique and some practice to inflate them. The rabbit, mouse, elephant and duck are little more difficult to inflate. Its easy once you 've got the  knack

These balloons were originally created for the street vendors who are very familiar with the product. They normally would have developed  a technique to inflate them with helium. But now these items are also sold in the retail market as well.

The following tips would help you to inflate the figure balloons:

Animal shaped balloons are very strange and are difficult to inflate ; they have heads, ears, and bodies, lacking legs. The multiple diameters make these very tricky to blow up. The smaller areas would have higher internal pressures if they were separate balloons, so they tend to deflate into the larger areas. Getting the ears to inflate on a balloon with this feature can be tricky and it is often best to start by forcing the ears to inflate first. Getting something like a bunny balloon fully inflated is a challenge, since the diameter of the ears is so much less than the diameter of the fat part of the belly. Here are some more tips: 

1. heat up the balloon by rubbing it between your hands

2. inflate the ears by closing the balloons with your hands and directing the air into one ear and then the other will inflate automatically

3. inflate the head

4. inflate the body   

NOTE.: The pressure of an air compressor or helium tank or balloon pump  will help to inflate the balloon;  inflating the figure balloons by mouth  is almost impossible
